In the Name of God...!!!

It is such a sad situation, that in the name of God, people are being killed. In the name of God, people are being told the things that are as untrue as maybe a fake fruit.

What is truely pitiful is, that all this is being done to people like you and me and still we end up following zealots who care nothing more than their popularity.

I have just one question- What religion says that it is ok to kill another human being in the name of religion?

I wonder when will this madness come to an end and when peace would become the order of the day.

A very cliched line- but true- Lets make peace not war. Live and Let Live...Please...!!!

You knw souvik, one thing that I remember of my History lessons in school is- Rennainsance... the end of dark ages. It was hailed as the new behining because questions were asked and enlightment via way of education was imparted. But today, how do we impart common sense... I mean, these are bloody educated people who refuse to answer questions... who are actually being extremists... what we need is imparting of common sense...which is not common.

an interesting thought.You speak of rennainsance,right? If my memory serves me right,it was during this time that a new sect in christianity, the protestants, came into being.To begin with,the Catholic church fiercely opposed this movement,at times even using violence.The protestants couldn't do much,because they were weak.But,with time,they gained in numbers and strength.And a time in history came when they did to the catholics exactly what the catholics had done to them....

I was just exemplifying my thoughts by the way of rennainsance...though that word was used more for the christan religion... the literal meaning is awakening..and tht is what I was referring to.
